Also, I think this was the longest of the 4 volumes.

I did love seeing Pierre's reaction to the battle. I'm hoping the final section chugs along. I want to see who ends up with who. It feel s a bit like Russian musical chairs when it comes to the romantic relationships.Melissa (Avid Reader)https://www.blogger.com/profile/02119628715475021774noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6543330341390707771.post-41895599991042536502011-02-13T17:55:07.313-05:002011-02-13T17:55:07.313-05:00Oh, I really do need to reread this someday! I read it in college for a Russian Lit course -- basically this was the entire quarter's curriculum, along with The Death of Ivan Illyich which I loved. I remember quite liking War and Peace but it's been so long I've almost completely forgotten it! All I remember is there was war. . . and peace. . . and there was a character named Nikolai, and one named Natasha. . . oh, and they all spoke French because they were upper-class. That is seriously all I remember. Isn't that awful? And right now I have so many other classics I want to read this keeps getting pushed to the end of the TBR list. Sigh. But I think it's great that people are still reading this!Karen K.https://www.blogger.com/profile/13483190930383406559noreply@blogger.com
