The movie was brilliant as well, but I kind of wish that there was another movie that followed the book's plot more closely. Just because I'm greedy like that.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6543330341390707771.post-29043744784744757042010-09-02T20:31:03.905-04:002010-09-02T20:31:03.905-04:00I didn't discover this book until the Miyazaki...I didn't discover this book until the Miyazaki movie, but when I read it I loved it. Have you read either of the two loosely related follow-ups, Castle in the Air or House of Many Ways? I wasn't as fond of the second, although it may just need a re-read, but I was as charmed by Castle in the Air as I was by Howl's Moving Castle.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6543330341390707771.post-28683801817212574722010-09-02T15:11:19.094-04:002010-09-02T15:11:19.094-04:00Ooooo I really must read this. It's so great! And it carries on being good even now that I'm older.Jennyhttp://jennysbooks.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.com
