I have been a big fan of Austen since I was in high school and first decided to read Pride and Prejudice. I slowly worked my way through each of her 6 main novels, finishing with Persuasion only 2 years ago. However, in my slow Austen reading, I have also collected sets of her novels...to the point that I simply have too many Austen collections.
In honor of Adam's fabulous event, and my own love for Austen, I am giving away six Austen titles to six lucky winners. They comprise a full set of her complete novels, so there should be something here for everyone!
All of the titles are Barnes and Noble Classics editions. To enter to win one of these lovelies, please read the following rules and comment below:
- This giveaway will be open to any residents of the U.S. or Canada (I am willing to ship one book to one winner outside of the U.S. or Canada...so I will allow for one international winner if your name is pulled!).
- You MUST be a participant of Austen in August to enter.
- You MUST be 13 years or older
- You do not have to follow me or subscribe to qualify
- The winner will have 48 hours to respond or I will pick a new winner.
- To enter, comment on this post and provide the following information: an e-mail so I can get in touch with you if you win, the title you would like to be entered for, and what Austen titles you are planning to read for the event!
- The giveaway will be open until 11:59 PM on Monday, August 6, 2012 EST.
Allie - you rock! Thanks for kicking this off with a bang!ReplyDelete
I would love to enter for Persuasion, since that's the only one I don't own, but I'm going to try to keep myself from officially entering this giveaways, since I'm hosting the event and all. *FIGHTS THE URGE* ;P
Good luck, everyone!
Persuasion keeps calling me. I've already read it, but it is really good. :)Delete
hi Allie! i'd love to have a print copy of Northanger Abbey. i plan to read this for the Austen event plus i'm looking to include either Mansfield Park or Pride & Prejudice. i also have other re-imagined works. i might read one or two of them if i have time (e.g. Mr. Darcy, Vampyre)ReplyDelete
thanks for being gracious!
I'm reading Northanger Abbey and Pride and Prejudice (at least that's what I plan...) for the Austen in August. I do not yet own a copy of Mansfield Park, so I will put in for that one. :) Thanks for the give-away!
Yay giveaway! Like you, I have Austen duplicates, and I love the Barnes & Noble versions. I would like to win Mansfield Park because it's the only one of the six that I don't own apart from in a giant anthology.ReplyDelete
My list for the reading event is Love and Freindship, Northanger Abbey, Persuasion, Emma, and Mansfield Park. Going from smaller books to bigger. :)
P.S. I'll be hosting my own giveaway August 17-20, so be sure to check out my blog then. :)
Multiple sets of Austen books? Wow :) Will you be participating anyway, and re-read some of her books? Or perhaps read something related to Jane Austen?ReplyDelete
Your giveaway is awesome! You're brilliant for hosting it :)
(I won't enter, because that'll cost you way too much shipping)
What a generous giveaway, Miss Alley Cat! I own all of Austen's works, so don't enter me in the giveaway. I just popped in to air kiss your cheek. :) xReplyDelete
I'm not entering the giveaway, because I own multiple copies of all of her books. But I just wanted to say yay for Austen and I love this Austen event. Thanks to Adam for hosting!ReplyDelete
I'll be reading Persuasion for August. That will leave Northanger Abbey as the one I haven't read, so I'll enter for that.ReplyDelete
I'd love Mansfield Park, as I have yet to read that. I've read P&P but that's the only one. I may repick it up again for August. :)

Thank you so much for this giveaway! I would like to enter for Persuasion. I read Emma and I'm reading P & P now. I've got Sense and Sensibility and I'm hoping to get through both of them for Austen in August.ReplyDelete
How fun! I'll put in for Northanger Abbey. I'm reading Sense & Sensibility, Persuasion, & P&P this month. email@example.comReplyDelete
What a fun giveaway! Thanks for the opportunity.ReplyDelete
I plan on reading Mansfield Park for Austen in August; I've been avoiding it for far too long and this is the perfect opportunity to get reading.
However, I'll put my name in for Emma. It's not my favorite by a long shot, but I think if I had a lovely copy on my bookshelf I'd be more likely to go back to Highbury for a visit.
def a participant in the Austen in August event! well into my Persuasion choice at the moment :) and since it's on kindle, a print copy would be appreciated! TY for offering...ReplyDelete

other titles i'm including in my month's reading? Emma. i've just listened to it on audio during today's drive in to the city. great way to shorten traveltime :)
Agreeing with some previous commentors: what a fun giveaway!ReplyDelete
I was excited for August to roll around so that the Austen in August reading challenge could start. I've never read an Austen novel but enjoyed the film adaptions, so now I'm extra eager to read through my first planned book: Pride & Prejudice. After that I'd like to read Northanger Abbey and attempt Persuasion.
I will enter for Sense & Sensibility!
What a great giveaway! Thank you! I'd like to enter for Sense and Sensibility, as it's my favorite.ReplyDelete
For the event, I'm currently reading Persuasion, and then hoping to read P&P, Emma, S&S, and Northanger Abbey. I'm going to try and throw in some retellings as well.
My name is Alicia and I am excited about Austen August challenge. My favorites to start this time are Persuasion, Mansfield Park, and Emma.ReplyDelete

Hi Allie! I am planning on reading Emma, Sense & Sensibility, and I just finished Austenland. I am also hoping to finally read Northanger Abbey, but it depends on how much time I have. I would love to have a copy of Persuasion or Mansfield Park, as I don't own either of those.ReplyDelete
